Hello everyone,
Grab your coffee and settle in. This week, agentic AI crosses a decisive threshold and takes hold in businesses around the world. And at Codito, we have two big pieces of news to share with you. Happy reading.
Agentic AI goes mainstream: the quiet revolution of 2026
The fact
This week marks agentic AI's tipping point towards large-scale enterprise deployment. Microsoft, Google and GitHub have all launched tools for orchestrating autonomous agents. The MCP (Model Context Protocol), created by Anthropic, has been handed over to the Linux Foundation — OpenAI and Google immediately adopted it as a universal standard. It is the equivalent of the invention of USB, for AI.
The Codito analysis
Standardisation through MCP is a historic turning point: it finally enables interoperability between different models and systems, paving the way for sovereign agents running on local infrastructure. Meanwhile, the model wars are intensifying — Google's Gemini 3.1 Pro is 7.5x cheaper than Claude Opus 4.6 at comparable performance, putting pricing pressure on the entire ecosystem. AI is no longer a tool — it is becoming infrastructure.
What it means for you
The question is no longer whether you should adopt AI, but which entire processes you will delegate to autonomous agents. Companies that deploy AI agents across their critical workflows now will build a considerable lead. Governing these agents — security, access, oversight — is becoming the absolute priority of 2026.
