GAEA Géotechnique

GAEA Géotechnique is a geotechnical consultancy founded in 2019 in Peypin, near Marseille. It studies soils and foundations for construction projects and produces the reports for the G1 to G5 assignments defined by the French NF P 94-500 standard. The starting point fitted in one sentence: not a demand problem, a capacity problem. Three tasks were eating the team's time: analysing incoming documents, writing study reports and looking up information (standards, charts, regulations). The goal we set together: free up time, and train the team to build its own agents rather than depend on a vendor. The partnership started in late May 2026: one monthly session, plus short video calls whenever something blocks. The first workstream is preparing G2 study quotes. The agent draws on GAEA's own Excel catalogues and libraries, produces a structured quote and hands it to the engineers: nothing is sent automatically, human review stays systematic. In September, the agent was moved to Claude Code to go further, and two connections were explored: the team's business software and the public Géorisques data.
